Thank you to the makers of 5-hour™ TEA shots for sponsoring this post.
I know I’m having a rough day when I get excited to sit down and catch my breath for three minutes. That’s oftentimes how it is though, running my kids around from school to piano lessons to basketball practice, and trying to squeeze in some work before cooking dinner. Those quick chances to rest my body and mind are bliss, then it’s up and at it again. It’s funny how I sometimes think I’m the hardest working person around, then I look around and see every other person around me has a life that seems just as hectic!
As people on the go, we need to find ways to keep ourselves energized throughout the day. Part of that comes with overall healthy living choices, like having big meals and getting enough sleep. That’s a big start. Making time for a little physical activity every day makes a big difference, too. Even with a good handle on those I know there will be dips and lulls in my energy level and alertness throughout the day. The three biggest for me are mornings, after lunch (when my food settles and my motivation dips), and sometimes in the early evening.
During those times especially it’s great to get a boost, and lately, I’ve been turning to the Peach tea flavored 5-hour™ TEA shots. The bottles are under two ounces and fit in my small handbag, so I can drink just a third or half of a bottle in the morning and the rest later in the day. One thing I really like about the 5-hour™ TEA shots is that the caffeine comes from green tea leaves, which has been my favorite form of caffeine for years. Another thing is how they have zero sugar and four calories… I can manage that into my daily numbers!
Another thing I like about 5-hour™ TEA shots is the taste, (such a fan of the Peach flavor!) plus, it comes in two other delicious flavors – Lemonade Tea, and Raspberry Tea. The taste being good is part of the pick-me-up for me, then I get that feeling of energy and I’m all set to take on whatever is next, be it a fierce game of Uno with my kids, a conference call or trying to somehow clean up our house after our two tornado kids pass through.
I think the worst feeling I have is when my two kids ask me to play with them and I tell them no because I just feel drained. Later on I’ll be kicking myself for passing up on the opportunity. They’re only young once and these opportunities slip by, so I love how products like this one can change my day even slightly and help me to spend more quality time with my kids. I’m all about making the most of the hours in each day finding efficiencies or ways to better tackle everything on my plate. I always tell myself that this is the year I’m going to slow everything down, but it never really happens, and at the end of the day I think I actually like keeping this busy.
