The interests of my friends and family are extremely diverse: For my dad it is news, documentaries and classical music. My sister is a huge fan of reality TV and pop, and for my best friend it is all about sports and country. Regardless of what we are trying to watch I think we could all agree on using the best technology around for viewing and listening. Today that technology is Chromecast.
Chromecast gives the ability to stream right from your phone to your TV. With a simple tap you can start streaming shows. Listening to playlists and having other access to your phone. I don’t know about you but I keep all of my best tunes on my phone so this is huge. I also have a few different streaming apps on my phone including of course Netflix. It streams from both Android and iPhone®, and you can use your tablet as a remote for the TV.
Here are a few of the other benefits of Chromecast that sets it apart from competitor:
– Chromecast is easy to set up, you just plug it into the HDMI slot on the back of your TV and you are on your way.
– Another cool feature of Chromecast is that it enables you to mirror your laptop screen to your TV by simply using your Chrome browser. This is good for anything web, especially media items.
– It is of course compatible with my existing HDTV, and was a pretty great way for us to expand our viewing to more parts of the house.
– The phone can still work as it normally does while being accessed. I love this as I can still make important calls without disrupting the party!
I have been a huge fan of Google for years now and get pretty excited when their technology gets released. This product is a winner on its own but it is twice as cool (coming from a Google-fan, mind you) when you integrate it with Google Home. It’s awesome to just keep working in my kitchen and give a command to put on a cooking show without having to pick up a remote (let alone find the darn thing!).
Chromecast is definitely a winner of a product and you can pick it up at Best Buy, which always has the latest and greatest in tech. One thing that sets Best Buy apart for me is their service. I’ve gone in having just a slight understanding of how a home electric product works and walked out feeling like an expert. Usually the entire staff is pretty solid but there’s oftentimes one or two people that really specialize in an area so if you can find that person it can be an immense help.
