“Sponsored post by Mirum Shopper. All opinions are my own.” THE IN-CROWD on HSN is a new video series where you can get the latest scoop and education on Intel-based tech and devices. There are three great videos already up, with more videos to be added monthly going forward. For tech products, I go right to the reputable brands that have been groundbreakers and industry leaders for years. They invest in R&D and innovation, while other brands spend their money trying to follow their lead or create cheap knock-offs. Intel is one of those trusted brands that’s synonymous with top technology. It’s great to see they not only cater to those tech experts that ask for Intel by name but are also reaching out to anyone wanting to learn a bit more about technology products in these fun-easy to digest videos.

Check out the first three videos that are already up at THE IN-CROWD on HSN at INTEL.HSN.COM, exclusive to HSN shoppers:

The first video is about how your Intel® processor works:

Intel is most famous for their processors, which have been the best around for longer than I can remember and are still the best around. In fact, I look down at the laptop I’m typing on right now and see a blue and white “Intel Inside” sticker. As THE IN-CROWD on HSN video shows, the processor is the equivalent of a cook at a restaurant; it dictates speed, stability, and power. As the brain and muscle of the computer, if it’s overloaded with the things you are trying to do those things will take a lot longer to complete, or may not complete at all. I learned the hard way that you should never get a sub-par processor on your computer as you then won’t be able to run your favorite programs, especially those that tie up more of your computer’s resources. You’ve probably been there too, and can relate to a locked up computer that’s waiting and waiting for an hourglass icon or a spinning circle that seems to go on forever! The video they provided is great, love the foodie references too.

The second video is on 2-in-1 Laptops: One device. Twice the possibilities:

I’ve written before about how life-changing a 2-in-1 laptop can be. I am constantly switching from work to play and even merging the two together, and a 2-in-1 laptop makes it seamless and fun. My days used to entail lugging around a laptop for business and a tablet for fun. Now the two are merged into a powerful “multitasker’s dream”, as THE IN CROWD on HSN video calls it. It’s efficient and compact, and the Intel based laptops are very flexible to go from a reading mode to typing mode, then to a propped-up tent mode. I use all of the above, especially when I’m using a 2-in-1 in the kitchen and then writing up recipes for my readers. Once you try out a 2-in-1 Laptop it is tough to imagine using anything else!

The third video currently available is Battery life: Go further in a single charge:

Intel-based devices’ battery life has improved leaps and bounds over the last couple of years. While this may not seem as exciting as the processor or 2-in-1, it enables you to do use your laptop longer and farther than ever before. I can pop up my laptop at a coffee shop and not have to fight for the one table that has an outlet as I did in years past. I dread the sight of seeing my laptop go dark when I’m right in the middle of something (especially when I didn’t save my work first!!). That awful feeling happens much less these days and that’s due to the improved battery life. It takes less time to charge up the battery and the battery can then go longer, too.

You can go to THE IN-CROWD on HSN site to take the online quiz to ‘discover your dream device’. There’s also a processor comparison chart to match the optimal Intel processor to your lifestyle.
