What is the ratio of water/ salt to pasta?
- Use about ½ tablespoon of salt and 2 quarts (8 cups) of water per 2 cups of pasta.
Storing:
- Let the pasta cool down before refrigerating but do not let it sit out at room temperature for more than 2 hours.
- Transfer it to an airtight container. The leftover will last 3-5 days in the fridge or 2-3 months in the freezer.
Reheating:
- In a microwave: Place a single serving of the leftover rotini pasta in a microwave-safe bowl. Drizzle the pasta with a small amount of water then cover the dish with a microwave-safe lid. Cook for 1 minute at medium heat. Open the microwave, stir, and cook it again in 15-second increments if necessary until completely heated.
- In an oven. Spread the leftover pasta evenly on a baking pan/dish. Drizzle the pasta with a small amount of water then cover the baking dish with an oven-safe lid or aluminum foil. Reheat the pasta in the preheated oven at 350°F for 15 minutes or longer until it's completely heated.
