Ingredients

Bang Bang Sauce
  • ½ cup mayo
  • ¼ cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice

Method

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, lemon juice, and sriracha sauce. Mix until smooth. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
  2. Place the salmon pieces in a bowl and add soy sauce, salt, black pepper, sesame oil, paprika, garlic powder, and corn starch (optional). Mix well.
  3. Option 1. Air Fryer Method: Preheat the air fryer to 390°F. Arrange the salmon pieces in a single layer and lightly spray with avocado oil, and cook for about 4 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
Option 2. Oven Method: Preheat the oven to 400°F. Place the salmon bites on a prepared baking sheet, lightly brush with oil, and bake for about 8-10 minutes or until fully cooked.
Option 3. Frying Method: Heat 1 tablespoon of avocado oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the salmon bites undisturbed for 2-3 minutes on one side, until golden brown. Flip and cook for an additional 2 minutes, or until fully cooked.
  4. Arrange the salmon bites on a plate and drizzle with a small amount of Bang Bang sauce. Taste and adjust the amount if necessary. Store any leftover sauce for future use.

Notes

  • Check Doneness: Salmon should be opaque and flake easily with a fork when done. Cooking times can vary based on the size of the pieces, so check for doneness to avoid overcooking.
  • Refrigerate: Store the container in the refrigerator. Bang Bang Salmon Bites should be eaten within 2-3 days for the best taste and texture.
  • Freeze (Optional): If you need to store them for a longer period, you can freeze the salmon bites. Place them in a freezer-safe bag or container, separating layers with parchment paper if needed. They can be frozen for up to 1 month.
