Chicken Honey Soy Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs with skin on
  • 4 cloves of garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Pinch of ground coriander
  • Pinch of black pepper

Method

  1. Marinate the chicken with all of the above ingredients for at least 30 minutes to 3 hours (or overnight), and keep refrigerated.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  3. Heat a grill pan over high heat and coat with cooking spray.
  4. Cook chicken for 2 minutes on a grill pan, skin-side down and top with green onions.
  5. Reduce to medium heat, continue cooking skin-side down for about 8-10 minutes, until fat renders and skin is golden brown.
  6. Transfer the chicken to oven and cook for another 8 minutes (uncovered).
  7. Flip chicken; continue cooking for about 5 minutes, until meat is cooked through.
  8. Place chicken on a plate to cool off for about 5 minutes before serving.
