The most common New Year’s resolutions are losing weight, eating healthier, and exercising more. This year, I want to take opportunity to improve my overall health and well-being by doing these things and living an overall healthier lifestyle. One important concept that I will apply to reach my goal is to focus on one step at a time.  Mornings is one of those focus areas, and I’ll make sure not to wake up too early as not to disrupt my sleep schedule, and also to start my day with simple and positive breakfast habits.

Breakfast is  the most important part meal of the day as it provides us with energy and also influences the way we perform physically and mentally. Skipping breakfast because we don’t have time is a very common problem that happens in our daily lives.  In my home we call them “mayhem mornings” as there’s usually some madness going on with getting the kids ready, my husband off to work and figuring out breakfast and lunch for everyone.

One of the most important steps to avoid skipping breakfast is to make my meals ahead of time and to make sure that my pantry if filled with quick breakfast options.  One of those that I’m so happy to have been introduced to is McCormick Good Morning breakfast product line. Smoothies go from ordinary to extraordinary with a boost of taste and nutrition! Blend into your favorite shake recipes for a drinkable breakfast on-the-go. Blend with juice, milk or Fruit for a drinkable meal on-the-go. You can learn more about the products here: https://www.mccormick.com/good-morning

So today, I am going to share 5 Tips to Get Your Breakfast Habit Started:

    1.      Prep your breakfast meals ahead of time.  Some of the breakfast meals that you can make ahead of time: boiled eggs (or eggs on any style), muffins, overnight oatmeal or try some slow cooker breakfast ideas with seasoning mixes from McCormick Good Morning.
    2.      Have clean appliances ready and within your reach and visible. My favorite appliances to use for breakfast time: Blender, toaster, skillet and griddle.
    3.      Wake up at least 15 minutes earlier every day, example, if you have kids, be sure to wake up 15 minutes earlier before them.
    4.      Fill your pantry or freezer with breakfast meal options and varieties so you don’t get bored!
    5.     Try to incorporate a variety of breakfast meals every day.
